Speaker bio

Steven Tan is a serial entrepreneur and director of Nascent Ventures, an investment fund focused on high-tech startups. Previously, Steven was Director of Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (“IXA”), the joined Technology Transfer Office of UvA, VU and UMC Amsterdam. Before IXA, he was a partner at Holland Venture, a Dutch VC, responsible for high-tech investments in Europe and Israel.

Steven is a former board member of ASTP, the European association of knowledge transfer professionals. He is an ERC expert committee member and serves as a member in several national and international advisory bodies on knowledge transfer and innovation policy.

He holds a MSc in industrial engineering and an MBA in general management. He is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP).
